Taxes Make Slaves brass pin
Taxes Make Slaves pin, Etched in Brass by Gino Schiavone as a tribute to passing Faire friends.
“Taxes Make Slaves” is a familiar phrase around the California Renaissance Faire vendors. Each and every piece of paper money that passed through one of our late friend’s hands were marked with “Taxes Make Slaves” in green ink. These bills would show up daily in our cash boxes and circulate through out the Faire cash.
This friend passed away April 2026
Some old friends leave a hole in our Faire Community far greater than most people would imagine. Though there are many Actors & Performers in our midst, some of us are introverts; quiet, kind and funny, contributing to the Faire Folk culture since before we remember, though ever-present in our hearts and deeply missed. Part of the proceeds of this benefit pin will be donated to the RESCU organization. https://rescufoundation.org

Though we do our best to portray the colors we see in the product with the naked eye, color may vary from the images shown. Every monitor or mobile display has a different capability to display colors, and every individual may see these colors differently. In addition, lighting conditions at the time the photo was taken can also affect an image's color.
Cosmic Collab Co. cannot guarantee that the color you see accurately portrays the true color of the product. Photographs are taken in a variety of lighting conditions.
