For nearly 50 years of California Renaissance Faires Michael organized every edition of the Buck and Mug from his tent behind the scenes, walking through The Faire to connect with every Guildmaster and Booth Owner to gather contributions for our California Renaissance Faires & Dickens Fair’s seasonal participant yearbook, the Buck and Mug. His mission each Faire was to secure a new Editor for the next Buck and Mug. Michael Kember passed away March 2026
Michael Kember was a fixture at the Pale Moon Booth in our final years at the California Renaissance Faires. He leaves a hole in our Faire Community far greater than most people would imagine of this quiet, kind and funny man. True Faire Folk since the early 1970s, he was ever present. He will be missed.
